YZF-R1Obviously, with its 998cc, 180-horsepower ram-air fuel-injected engine, the YZF-R1 is intended for riders who like their performance straight up.
Hi everyone
Does anyone have the throttle lag on the 07 R1s, a lot of owners have this problem, or is it just the California models. Seems Yamaha is not doing anything for the owners. Read this info on R1messagenet
yamaha is onto the problem, but it likely wont get addressed for a year or so....took forever with the problems on the '06 R6r. they didn't even wanna address it until thousands of owner threatened to return the bikes.
the ycc-t on the R1 should be the same, as the R6, but the the lag isn't necessarily in the ycc-t unit itself. a speedohealer seems to alter the issue, so some people are looking at the ECU

Cool, glad that link in my signature is raising some awareness haha. I don't have an R1 nor am I planning on buying one, but that seemed like something that people would want to know. I find it amazing that every person at Yamaha is like "that's just how it is, deal with it, adjust your riding style, ride in the higher RPMs"
